Hello:
Just curious if anyone has heard anything regarding the transition??
It is tough to try and keep families in the loop with such little concrete information.

Has it been clear if this whole process has been approved??

Case Managers received a memorandum on 4/17/06 from DDRS indicating the "contract" with IPMG is still being negotiated and that "the transition process may take the remainder of the calendar year." The memo goes on to state "We {FSSA} will announce a transition schedule that will let case managers know then their clients will begin services under IPMG." It is critical to know that all Medicaid Waiver recipients will lose their Freedom of Choice rights under the Medicaid Waiver program when IPMG takes over. The Federal department; CMS has put in writing that if this CM consolidation takes place under a Medicaid Waiver program, that it cannot be funded with ANY Federal dollars. The state of Indiana's Medicaid budget will have to fund the entire $15 million. Normally the federal match is 63% of every $1.00 spent by the state. This is a huge amount of money that only Indiana taxpayers will have to fork over. Remember, the Rally at the State House is scheduled for June 19th @ 11:00am and a petition is being signed to request the Governor stop Mitch Roob and FSSA from the continue cut in service funding to recipients as well as stop the CM consolidation that takes away freedom of choice.
