Re: Status of Rate Review Requests
We wanted to take this opportunity to provide a general update
on our rate review process and let providers know what to expect in the
next few days. The State received nearly 800 e-mails and over 2,000
faxes requesting rate reviews for approximately 3,500 individuals.
Through the rate review process we have received both duplicate
requests from providers as well as duplicate requests regarding specific
individuals. This duplication meant that requests could not be
finalized until after November 30, when all information for an
individual was received. To address the large number of reviews and
multiple requests per individual we have developed a batching process
that will generate one Notice of Action per individual, with all of the
changes included. We will begin to send large numbers of review
responses through the batching process by December 19, 2005.
Rate reviews for placeholder rates of .02 and .03 per day are
on-going. These reviews are being sent to providers on a daily basis as
they are processed.
Thank you for your continued cooperation as we work through the
rate review process.
